about
Forever Now Forever Then is Yoyogi's 1st release. Written on a bench in Yoyogi Park, surrounded by the beautiful cherry blossom trees, and the wonderful atmosphere of Japanese springtime. The parks throughout Japan are lovely this time of year, filled with friends, families and couples celebrating the coming of Spring.
Forever Now Forever Then is a collaboration with the Scottish Session Orchestra and Charl De Villiers, a string composer from Switzerland. It is available for download at Bandcamp from the 14th of February and all other online stores from the 21st of February.
lyrics
Sit beneath Sakura working melodies as strangers listen on,
A little smile assures us of our way, as couples play,
An old man gently sways as if the song reminds him when his love was young,
When he first won her heart out on that lake, her hand with his to take back home
Days like this he wished would never end,
Falling for his lover and best friend,
Days like these will come for us again, again, again,
Forever now forever then
Forever now forever then
The artist at the shore is blending colours of the water and the sun,
Two ladies chase away a hungry crow, that swoops down low,
The girls and boys are drinking celebrating that the spring has finally come,
Their joyful laughter carries on the wind, and draws us in, and leads us on
Days like this they wished would never end,
Falling for their lover and best friend,
Days like these will come for us again, again, again,
Forever now forever then
Forever now forever then
Forever now forever then, their day unfolds beneath
our pen and paper laid out before me,
Forever now forever then, today's the day it all began
as nature plays out its story,
Forever now forever then, is this the fall that has no end
as love was laid bare before me
Forever now forever then, today's the day it all began...
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
